May Crafty Goodness 2023
What a fun month of crafty goodness.
This next one I made for the Tanks and Tee's 2023 crochet along. I am so enjoying this Tee! I think my hubby is getting tired of seeing me wear it. I might just have to make another one! I used a 100% cotton yarn so it is very comfortable even on hot, sticky days. The pattern is by Cactus and Lace Designs and it is called the Wren Tee. The yarn was part of a Lion Brand Mystery Box.
This hexagon cardigan is a Christmas gift for DGD#4. I actually made another one just like it for DGD#5. A fast, easy sweater using Caron Blossom Cakes, color way Blossom. The pattern is a compilation from Craft and a Cuppa and Passioknit Kelsie.
Time to start making winter hats! They go together quickly. I'm planing on making a bunch and donating what the kids and grandkids don't want. I'm still looking for the perfect pattern.
DGD#4 fell and broke her arm. It was still chilly so I made her this Hexi-Cardi with big sleeves so it would fit over her cast. When her cast comes off I will finish it with cuffs for next fall/winter. I used scraps of Red Heart Super Saver. Not the softest yarn but I was able to make it up quickly white destashing my yarn.
Last, but not least, I was able to finish the blue baby blanket for DGS#4. He is due to arrive in August, The yarn is I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby and the pattern is from Knitting My Hobby on YouTube.
This first projects is a wrap/shawl made with yarn from the Hobby Lobby clearance event. It is a very thin weight, a pain for old eyes to work with but a perfect weight for cool evenings or air conditioned rooms. The pattern is by Devine Debris and is called the Louise Shawl.

I have a few other projects in the works so June should be a fun month too! The plan is to deviate a bit from crochet, focusing on finishing a macrame window curtain I began last summer. See you in July with a June recap.
You are amazing! A t-shirt, really? Who would have thought to crochet a t-shirt. You haven't worn it too often and I don't remember seeing it or if I did you I'm sorry I didn't notice! That is just blowing my mind. The other projects are just as amazing, the addition of the cuffs will be a great save and the hat donation will be a blessing to others. Am sure there will be a donation place available in your state! Actually I like the way the yarn stripes the hat. Happy crocheting in June.
