February Crafty Goodness

At first I thought February was going to be a slow month of projects but when I looked through my photos I realized I completed more than I thought. This first afghan is one I made for hubby's office.  Quite often in the afternoons I will crochet in his office while he is on work phone calls.  His office is rather drafty and I would get chilled.  Well, I solved that problem!  This pattern came from the February issue of Crochet World magazine,  I used Impeccable yarn from Michael's.   This next project is a doily that I made for my mom for Valentine's Day.  She wanted a doily to put on the back of her maroon recliner and I thought this pink yarn went really well.  I only make a doily about once every year because these older eyes have a hard time seeing those little stitches when using crochet thread.  This pattern also came from the February issue of Crochet World Magazine. This project was a long time in the making!  It is made with I Love This Yarn from Hobby Lobby.  It

January Crafty Goodness

Once the Christmas hubbub of craftiness was over and January began, I took note of all of my WIPs and set out to finish as many as I could before I began anything new.  I was somewhat successful however many of the projects made their way into February.    My first finished object (FO) was a multicolored table runner.  This was a KotM from Annie's Love to Crochet Club.  It was sent the end of November and finished in January.  Not too bad, right? The next FO is a color block sweater using leftover yarn from a previous Annie's Afghan Club.  I don't think it was the right weight of yarn to use on this pattern from MJ'soffthehookdesigns.  It is super soft and feels great when on.  It just doesn't fit right.  I'll tweak it someday when I am bored!  My third FO is my year long temperature blanket.  I am very pleased with the way it turned out!  The color selection goes great in my living room.  Yes, it is really long but that is to be expected with 365 rows.  It was
