January Crafty Goodness
Once the Christmas hubbub of craftiness was over and January began, I took note of all of my WIPs and set out to finish as many as I could before I began anything new. I was somewhat successful however many of the projects made their way into February.
My first finished object (FO) was a multicolored table runner. This was a KotM from Annie's Love to Crochet Club. It was sent the end of November and finished in January. Not too bad, right?
The next FO is a color block sweater using leftover yarn from a previous Annie's Afghan Club. I don't think it was the right weight of yarn to use on this pattern from MJ'soffthehookdesigns. It is super soft and feels great when on. It just doesn't fit right. I'll tweak it someday when I am bored!
My third FO is my year long temperature blanket. I am very pleased with the way it turned out! The color selection goes great in my living room. Yes, it is really long but that is to be expected with 365 rows. It was a crazy year with lots of travel and lots of stress. I like the way this is reflected in the blanket.
My last FO is my pride and joy! I frogged this sweater so many times until it was right. This teal sweater is my first wearable, other than hats and scarfs. The yarn is my first expensive yarn and it was a birthday gift from DS#4. What a dream to work with and it was a good thing after all of the frogging! The pattern is from For the Frills. The pattern was easy to follow once I got the hang of it.
Well, that sums up January FOs. There are a lot more WIPs that have since been finished that I hope to share soon. Thanks for looking and happy crafting!
It is amazing what you can do with yarn! Happy crocheting...
