July Crafty Goodness 2024

Not a very good crafty month.  Between a funeral, company, and a pattern that just didn't work for me I don't have a lot to show.  Oh well, bring on August!   Birthday blanket for Grandson H. Temperature blanket progress.  It doesn't look  much different from last month but I  promise, there are 31 more days represented.   I should start corner 4 in the next week or 2 Well, here is my new bathroom curtain. In hindsight, it could have been wider.   I blocked it wider but when I hung it it scrunched up a bit.  Time will tell if the stiffener I used  will hold up with the bathroom steam.  I might have to block it again using a different  method.

What a fun month of crafty goodness!  Of course, I didn't get everything accomplished that I wanted to but such is life!  I've got a good start on projects for March. The highlight of the month was visiting Herrschners!  Thanks hubby for a very fun trip!   Dream come true!  Now if I can save up enough money to go to their warehouse sale.  Hmmm A new farmer's market bag.  Yes, I sewed the bottom together wrong.  Hubby and I decided we would try it this way and if we don't like it I will switch it. I used Lion Brand Limited Edition Neutrals. The pattern is by Stitchberry.  Sorry I messed it up! This has to be one of the coziest sweaters I have made yet!  I used  Caron Latte Cakes yarn.  Super soft, fuzzy, and warm.  Too bad we have had such a mild winter! This pattern came from BHOOKED. Temperature blanket update.  Yes, I still have been able to keep up with all of those ends.  Too weird that I had to bust out the yarn for 60*. A crop sweater for son #4's girlfriend.

Welcome 2024!  Along with a new year comes new crafty goals.  Goals:  To make as many items as I can, using the stash I already have, and blessing as many people as I can! The month started off well but I wasn't able to complete as many items as I wanted.  I will be thankful for the things I did accomplish. I used 26 skeins of yarn and  purchased 8 new skeins.  Let's see what February holds. I do need to fix a few Christmas gifts that are either too long or too short in the sleeves.  Someday I'll get this right! ๐Ÿ˜„ Leah's b-day sweater using Hobiko Starfall yarn Hat for A using leftover yarn from blanket A's birthday blanket using Herrschner's Worsted 8 New Bible bag since the last one wasn't working well January's beginning of my yearly temperature blanket.
